Installing VPN on Windows 

  1. After you download the appropriate VPN client for your operating system, double-click on the installer file to begin actual installation.
  2. The installer will run automatically, with no need for user intervention.
  3. Once completed, the program will prompt you to install. If you previously installed a Cisco VPN client program, your computer may restart several times in order for the installation to be completed.

Running VPN on Windows 

  1. To run the client, click on start, then programs, then Cisco UCLA VPN client, and then select VPN client.
  2. To connect, make sure the UCLA VPN connection entry is highlighted and click on the connect icon. (See Figure 1)Figure 1: Connecting

  3. A new window will appear, and type in your UCLA Logon ID and password in the appropriate fields. (See Figure 3)Figure 2: Logging in

  4. You will then be connected to the vpn. When you are finished, click on the disconnect icon.(See Figure 3)Figure 3: Connected
