- Click on Start, then Settings, then Control
Panels.
- Double-click on Network and Dial-up
Connections.
- Double-click on Make a New Connection.
- When the Network Connection Wizard appears, click Next
- Select Connect to a private network through the
Internet and click Next.

- Select Do not dial the initial connection and
click Next.

- In the Host name or IP address field, type in
pptp.vpn.ucla.edu, and then
click Next.

- You can make this vpn connection public by selecting For
all users, or private by selecting Only for
myself, then click Next.

- Type in UCLA VPN for the name of this connection. If you want a shortcut on
your desktop check Add a shortcut to my desktop, then
click Finish.
