  1. Click on Start, then Settings, then Control Panels.
  2. Double-click on Network and Dial-up Connections.
  3. Double-click on Make a New Connection.
  4. When the Network Connection Wizard appears, click Next
  5. Select Connect to a private network through the Internet and click Next.

    Type

  6. Select Do not dial the initial connection and click Next.

    Public

  7. In the Host name or IP address field, type in pptp.vpn.ucla.edu, and then click Next.

    Host

  8. You can make this vpn connection public by selecting For all users, or private by selecting Only for myself, then click Next.

    Availability

  9. Type in UCLA VPN for the name of this connection. If you want a shortcut on your desktop check Add a shortcut to my desktop, then click Finish.

    Finish
